Hanging Around Lu Lu
LuLu measures 30" from hands to feet when hanging on a door knob. You sulpt the face from hose or a special fabric called Thin Skin. Thin skin is only available for sale with lesson purchase. Her body, legs feet and hands are made from 5 different colors of cotton fabric.
Every face is different with needle sculpting. The most exciting thing is to watch the face form. The doll comes to life and the expression gives the doll its own personality. If you want to learn free-form sculpting this is the class for you. I will show you options of different ways to draw the stitches in places that will totally change the expression. I will also give several different eye and mouth shape choices.
The lessons flow as follows:
Lesson 1: Assembly of legs, shoes, arms and hands and creating the upper body and pleated ruffle .
Lesson 2: Sculpting and painting face.
Lesson 3: Assembly of parts, hair application and creating embellishments using frayed bias technique.
